History
Research Center for Economic and Social Statistics in Asia (ReCESSA) was launched by professors of economics who specialized in Asian economic and social issues, as the “YNU Research Center” certified by Yokohama National University (YNU) in December 2011. In April 2012, the Center for Economic and Social Studies in Asia (CESSA) was founded with the financial support of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT). Since then, ReCESSA has played a role of research functions for CESSA, and constructed and published the database of Asian economic and social statistics.
